Dried Plum & Walnut Pinwheel

Dried Plum & Walnut Pinwheel Prep Time: 10 minutes

1 ¼ cup chopped Stapleton’s Pitted Prunes

¾ cup packed brown sugar

Slightly less than 1 cup chopped walnuts

¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 package Puffy Pastry dough – (try Pepperidge Farm in the frozen section)


Heat oven to 400 ͦ F.  In small bowl, combine brown sugar, dried plums, walnuts and cinnamon. Thaw dough as directed on package. Roll out onto a lightly floured surface; spread the filling evenly onto each sheet almost to the edges.  Roll from the longest end taking care not to roll too tightly; pinch seams and ends to seal. With a sharp knife cut into 18 pinwheels.  Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake 15-18 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm or at room temperature.
