Prunes More Effective Than Psyllium for Constipation Treatment
Results from a clinical trial prove that dried plums are safe, palatable and more effective than psyllium for the treatment of mild to moderate constipation, and should be considered as a first line therapy. Prunes (dried plums) should be used as the first line of therapy in treating constipation. This study will be published in Alimentary Pharmacology & Therapeutics.
