The Harvest
In mid August the plums are ready to be harvested and dried. Most of the plums that are harvested for dehydration are mechanically harvested using machines which shake the trees to remove the plums. The plums are then collected, leaves and sticks blown off and plums are placed into plastic or wooden bins ready to be hauled off to the dehydrator.
